Everytable introduces its grab-and-go stores in San Francisco and NYC!

JS2 client EVERYTABLE, a food equity-focused social enterprise that makes fresh, nutritious meals accessible and affordable for all, is expanding its reach. Having enjoyed rapid growth in its home region of Southern California and adding 15 stores just this year, Everytable plans to open the company’s signature grab-and-go stores and meal subscription services in underserved areas of two of America’s largest cities: San Francisco and New York City.

 
 

Feeding America projected that 42 million people (one in eight), including 13 million children (one in six), would experience food insecurity in 2021. San Francisco and New York City have especially high rates of food insecurity and widespread lack of access to nutritious food (“food deserts”). Offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner at prices ranging from $5.25 to $9.95 per meal, Everytable is a smart, viable way to accommodate these communities and empower them to thrive.   

Following a successful Los Angeles launch, the curated 3-day and 6-day meal plans have expanded to reach fans in Orange County and San Diego. With Executive Chef Seizan Dreux Ellis at the wheel of the rotating menu, the new meal plan is a fun and nutritious way to add plant-based meals to your daily routine - without all of the shopping and chopping. You can expect bold and flavorful breakfast, lunch, and dinner options like the 'I am Dazzling' Kale Caesar Salad, 'I am Dedicated' Mushroom Carnitas Keto Bowl, and  'I am Hearty' Tofu Breakfast Scramble with flavors inspired from around the globe, and filled with nourishing, plant-based ingredients.

One of the ways Everytable is unique in the food service industry is that its meals are priced according to the neighborhood’s median income. Higher-income areas pay slightly higher prices, which helps subsidize food in lower-income areas. Everytable also offers solutions for organizations, businesses, and senior living centers, including SmartFridge vending machines and food delivery. For those making the effort to eat more healthfully, Everytable’s meal subscriptions take the extra effort and guesswork out of stocking the fridge with healthy options on a schedule that works for each customer.customizable options and add-ons. By partnering with local organizations and working to develop a healthier, more equitable and affordable supply chain by supporting like-minded vendors like Vital Farms eggs, Everytable invites cities to fight food insecurity, create jobs, and transform urban food systems. Each new store will serve as a training ground for Everytable’s pioneering Social Equity Franchise program. It will also become an essential part of Everytable University, which was created to empower and set entrepreneurs from urban communities on the path to leadership and ownership with no financial investment required.

And if that weren’t all enough, Everytable offers a Pay It Forward program where guests can contribute free meals for those in need. Each donation note, complete with a message of affirmation and kindness, is displayed on the Pay It Forward wall in each store, and anyone can use one pay for their food.
